Logistics Clerk 3.6 3.6 out of 5 stars Lillington, NC 27546 Executive Personnel Group is hiring for a global logistics clerk in Lillington, NC.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide customer care team with everyday comprehensive reporting data along with tracking information.
- Conduct comparison analysis and present monthly reports to management on data performance to plan.
- Recommend most efficient means of transportation needs and procedures.
- Support transporter scorecard reports along with tracking metrics.
- Perform on going evaluation and review of transportation arrangement for constant improvement opportunities.
- Collect scorecard metrics to assist in negotiations with freight suppliers for more favorable pricing.
- Investigate alternative distribution processes effectiveness for definite customers as required.
- Identify sensitive clients and interact special customer requirements with carriers.
- Develop and present status reports to improve and supervise logistics order performance.
- Instruct carrier agents and supervise for ample action and results concerning transportation.
- Coordinate and investigate client logistic associated charge backs like shortages, lost/ damage product in transit and missed deliveries with account representative.
- Identify and arrange best cost-effective procedure of transportation.
- Review daily Lading Bills for accurate billing regulations depending on density weight of class.
- Manage systems (UPS and Kuebix currently) that are used to coordinate and book transportation for product to customers and vendors. Ensure that pricing in such systems is accurate
- Manage booking process associated with dedicated carrier loads whether it be for incoming or outgoing freight.
- Responsible for getting the most efficient freight (price and routing) for all dedicated freight
- Responsible for all tariff coding associated with imports.
- Review all invoices associated with freight and approve and send to Finance for input with proper coding
- Responsible for creating training manual associated with all aspects of freight booking processes __________________________________________________________________________________
Minimum Requirements :
2-5 years’ experience Strong Geographic and Transit Time calculation skills Forklift Certification a plus Knowledge of Freight Incoterms and acronyms Knowledge of the different
Modes of Transportation:
Intermodal, TL, LTL, Partial, Parcel Knowledge on Import & Export (HSN Codes) Computer skills Mid to Advance Microsoft Excel user Proficient in
