A Warehouse Case Picker, also known as an order picker or stock picker, is responsible for gathering and preparing cases of items for shipment. Warehouse Case Picker:

Picking Products:

Locate and retrieve specific items from warehouse shelves based on order tickets or electronic requests.

Case Packing:

Pack individual items or cases into designated containers for shipment.

Inventory Management:

Update warehouse inventory systems as items are picked and shipped.

Shipping Preparation:

Prepare completed orders for shipping by applying labels, securing containers, and moving them to the loading dock.

Safety and Compliance:

Adhere to warehouse safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Equipment Operation:

May operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks to transport materials.

Skills and Qualifications:

Physical Stamina:

Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move heavy items, and walk throughout the warehouse. Attention to

Accuracy in picking and packing orders is crucial to avoid errors.

Communication Skills:

Ability to communicate with team members and supervisors.

Computer Literacy:

Familiarity with scanning equipment and inventory management systems.

Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is often preferred.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

1+ year warehouse experience or related experience and/or training. Obtains and/or maintains appropriate licenses / training / certifications, as needed. Has basic skills training in an analytical / scientific method or operational process area (e.g., material handling and management, logistics, manufacturing production ). Effective communication skills at a level co-workers and Team Lead/Supervisor can understand. Ability to read, write, interpret and comprehend documents written in English and perform basic math calculations. Ability to perform/operate in a metrics-driven environment. General computer skills.
