Responsibilities include entering computer receipts, labeling packages correctly, and preparing purchase order returns and packing slips. The role also involves coding freight charges appropriately and coordinating timely delivery for priority shipments and mail.
Responsibilities Receiving & Verification:
Assist in unloading freight and verify materials and supplies against shipping documents to ensure accuracy in quantity and item specifications.
Data Entry & Documentation:
Enter computer receipts for assigned products and ensure packages are properly labeled. Prepare purchase order returns and packing slips.
Freight & Delivery Coordination:
Ensure timely delivery of priority freight and mail designated for immediate dispatch.
Cost Allocation:
Accurately code freight charges to the appropriate cost center.
Inventory Management:
Maintain familiarity with automated inventory systems and ensure adherence to inventory control principles.
Compliance & Safety:
Follow regulations outlined in the Department of Transportation Title 49 Code and International Air Transportation Association Title 49 Permits to ensure proper handling of materials.
