This Opportunity:
Logistics Associate As a Logistics Associate, you’ll provide critical support to our Logistics & Portfolio Director, helping ensure our premium wines and spirits flow smoothly from vineyards and distilleries to distributors across the United States. This position is ideal for those desiring to build a career in import logistics, offering hands-on experience in the specialized wine and spirits import industry.
Key deliverables include:
Provide essential Spanish-language support between De Maison Selections (DMS) and our Spanish producers. Assist with planning and executing shipping container buildouts and schedules. Create and process accurate documentation for import transactions including purchase orders, shipping documents, and invoices. Track delivery orders and inbound schedules at distribution locations. Communicate documentation and compliance requirements to producers abroad. Gather accurate technical and label information from global suppliers for DMS products. Maintain accurate product, contact, transportation, and pricing data in appropriate systems. Assist the Director with coordinating international winery visits for educational and marketing purposes. Generate reports and documentation as requested. What You’ll Bring High School diploma or equivalent required; college degree in Business, International Trade, Supply Chain, or related field preferred but not required. 1-3 years of experience in a related field (i.e., logistics, import/export, purchasing, accounting/bookkeeping). International customer service experience preferred. Cultural adaptability and enthusiasm for learning import business practices. Technical Skills Fluency in Spanish (speaking, reading, writing) required; French and/or Japanese helpful but not required. Strong technical aptitude and enthusiasm for learning new technologies, with ability to quickly adapt to and master new software systems (we use Google Workspace, Asana, Airtable, Slack, CRM, and ERP platforms). Interest in wine and spirits industry; prior knowledge helpful but not required. Ability to gain proficiency in understanding of legal and regulatory compliance requirements for wine and spirit importing (training provided)
Other Details Location:
On-site at our Chapel Hill, NC office.
Schedule:
Full-time, 40 hours/week Monday-Friday, generally 9am-5pm with occasional OT as business needs require.

Physical Requirements:
