Full Job Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Safety, Respect, Ownership Back up position to the Logistics Group Leader. Follow and promote the company’s Core Values of Safety, Respect and Ownership. Follows all safety regulations. Understanding of Expectations set for Lead Coordinator position. Perform normal functions of Logistics Coordinator (see Logistics Coordinator position description) in addition to supporting Logistics Group Leader at all times. Acting Group Leader when Logistics Group Leader is on vacation or unavailable to work. At the beginning of each shift, ensure all logistics areas/functions are staffed with the correct number of employees. Review and adjust for absences. Adjust scheduling of tasks as needed based on staffing. Follow up on any issues from the previous shift. Manage changes needed to the shipping schedule and communicate with logistics personnel. Report potential shipment misses/shortages to Logistics Manager. Audit warehouse and logistics areas throughout the day for Safety, Housekeeping, 5S and Quality Issues. Manage unloading supplier trucks and receipt of raw materials into the proper system. Coordinate the movement of raw materials to and from Production. Manage scrap and recycle materials processes in the plant. Coordinate all case scrap and the repack process with QA and Production. Perform cycle counts of both raw materials and finished goods and relay information into the proper system. Manage all shipping processes. Manage production reporting to inventory. Ensure all paperwork is completed and production is entered correctly at end of shift. Any other duties as requested by Department Manager.
Education and Experience:
High school graduate or equivalent. Must have a least 2-years experience in the logistics field. Must have completed Level 5. Must be forklift certified.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken Must be able to read and interpret work documents Must have the ability to work in teams Must have the ability to perform basic math Must have the ability to adapt to frequent changes Need to be knowledgeable about the receiving process of raw materials and finished goods, including the production entry process. Need to be knowledgeable about the materials, machines, tools and logistics steps in the logistics environment. Need to have the technical knowledge of each operation in their area and the correct way that each operation is performed. Need to have the ability to fill in for a Team Member as needed to avoid disruption of logistics. Need to have qualified experience and good judgment to plan and execute goals. Be able to set priorities and handle requests regarding logistics team activities. Must be able to work with minimum supervision Respects individuals, the organization, occupational health and safety, authority, the community and the team. Must be able to work overtime or on a different shift if required. Must have computer skills (excel / word). Ability to work independently. Ability to take initiative.
