This individual will be responsible for safely transporting residents to and from medical appointments, therapy visits, and other scheduled outings. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient safety and comfort, and a professional, courteous demeanor.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely transport residents to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and other scheduled destinations. Assist residents in and out of the vehicle, ensuring safety and comfort at all times. Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including times, destinations, and any incidents. Ensure that the vehicle is clean, fueled, and in good working condition before each trip. Communicate effectively with nursing staff, residents, and family members regarding transportation needs and schedules. Follow all traffic laws, facility policies, and safety procedures at all times.

Requirements:

Must have a valid North Carolina driver’s license in good standing (clean driving record required). Previous experience in a healthcare or transportation role preferred. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to lift, assist, and transfer residents with mobility challenges when needed. Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and behavior.
