The Planner is responsible for managing production schedules, forecasting and inventory in support of manufacturing. This role collaborates with Customer Operations, Purchasing, Production, Quality and Manufacturing Engineering to achieve plan attainment, delivery performance, inventory management, and product availability. Responsibilities
Responsible for production schedules utilizing the ERP system and ensuring on-time delivery of product to our customers and intercompany sites.
Develop and maintain the production schedule considering customer demand, forecasts, production capacity, material availability, and inventory targets.
Work closely with Operations to assess production capacity, identify constraints, and develop strategies to optimize resource utilization.
Liaise with internal customers regularly to align on priorities, commitments, constraints and recovery plans. • Analyze inventory levels, identify potential shortages or surpluses, and recommend appropriate actions to maintain optimal inventory levels.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, inventory and forecast accuracy, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Support new product development and introductions and successful transition to volume manufacturing.
Develop and maintain planning parameters within the ERP system – become site ERP Superuser.
Review and approve ECRs from a supply chain perspective and execute follow-up actions as required.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or business management.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in planning and inventory management in a manufacturing environment.
Deep understanding of planning principles, forecasting techniques, and inventory management strategies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
Proficiency using ERP systems and proficient with Material Requirement Planning (MRP) and capacity planning.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience within Medical Device industry a plus.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across different departments.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate others.
APICS certification (e.g., CPIM, CSCP

Compensation
The compensation for this role is competitive and will be based on experience and qualifications. The anticipated range is $75,000 – $80,000.
