The Opportunity:
Avantor is looking for a Senior Planner to joinour Planning Team to translate midterm to long-term plans into aweekly schedule aligning near-term requirements with capacityavailability and addressing imbalances. Production planning mustkeep constant contact with supply network and inventory planning,operations, material planning and finished goods planning teams tounderstand any potential issues that appear (such as laborshortages, supply shortages and nonroutine asset maintenance) whichmay impact capacity schedules. This role will be a full-timeposition based out of our Phillipsburg, New Jersey, facility . Thisposition is tasked to continually balance and rebalance resources(such as equipment, materials, and staffing) in collaboration withother team and effectively deploying a schedule that allows theoperation to run as efficiently as possible while meeting customerexpectations. Education:
Bachelor Degree inSupply Chain, Logistics Management, Business Management or relatedfield is required
Experience:
Minimum 5 – 7 years in productionplanning experience is required Problem solving techniquestraining, i.e., Lean, Six Sigma SAP experience required Excelexperience required PIVOT Table experience requiredCertification(s): APICS certification is preferred
CollaborationTool:
Microsoft Office experience required; Word and PowerPointproficiency highly preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
2 years SAPexperience PowerBI experience ERP experience Hlookup, Vlookup, andor Xlookup experience PSI (Production-Sales-Inventory) experienceHow you will thrive and create an impact Monitor demand andcapacity for the purpose of generating a weekly schedule that meetscustomer requirements and addresses any imbalances Work closelywith finished goods planning and material planning team to ensureproper coverage and accurate schedules Partner with Operations,Quality and Warehouse and Shipping teams to address constrains, oropportunities by collaboratively addressing and escalating asappropriate Adjust the production schedule to accommodate near-termcustomer orders that differ from the agreed sales and operationsplanning (S&OP) Identify Supply Response imbalances and addressappropriate response Anticipate potential issues by comparingdemand with supply in the short term and midterm Leverage newproduct introduction plans from research and development and/or newproduct innovation teams into production plans Use and maintaincurrent capacity planning systems to create the best capacityschedules using established processes Familiarity with the standarddemand planning system features like best-fit/what-if analysis,class/characteristic identification Performs other duties asassigned

Pay Transparency:
The expected pre-tax pay for this positionis $77,300.00 – $128,700.00 Actual pay may differ depending onrelevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
