Our team is dedicated to innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Position Overview Forkardt Hardinge is currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Production Planner. This critical role supports our factory operations by developing and maintaining production schedules that drive on-time order fulfillment and optimize capacity utilization. The Production Planner ensures smooth workflow and coordination across departments in accordance with the established production plan. Key Responsibilities Evaluate part requirements from MRP and Kanban systems; assess component material needs for both internal manufacturing and external customer orders Generate work orders via MRP system and manually as needed Commit to delivery dates for Aftermarket products, verifying material availability and capacity Develop and maintain realistic production schedules for machined components to meet internal and external demand Foster strong collaboration with all departments involved in production Set inventory goals and manage production to meet cost and unit targets Work closely with Purchasing and Operations to maintain finished goods inventory at optimal levels Proactively communicate with customers and suppliers to resolve potential shipping schedule issues Participate in Build Plan meetings to assess performance, review inventory and supply plans, and address resource needs Maintain and update bills of material and routings as necessary

Skills & Requirements:

Associate degree in Business or Organizational Management required Bachelor’s degree preferred Relevant job experience in a related manufacturing field may be considered Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required

Experience:

5-7 years of experience in production scheduling or a related manufacturing role within an ERP environment Strong background in manufacturing preferred Excellent oral and written communication skills JD Edwards experience highly preferred Familiarity with bills of material and routings Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Compensation and Benefits Pay Range:

$60,000-$65,000 Comprehensive benefits package including: Health insurance Life insurance 401(k) retirement plan Paid time off Paid holidays Long-term disability insurance
