This role is crucial to ensuring the smooth and timely coordination of international freight—both inbound and outbound—from ports to warehouses and from warehouses to both domestic and international customers. The ideal candidate will bring strong communication skills, logistics experience, and a team-focused mindset. Responsibilities Import Responsibilities Communicate with overseas suppliers and shipping lines to ensure timely freight releases. Coordinate container drayage from ports to warehouse facilities. Verify the accuracy of receiving documents from warehouses. Track freight-related charges and collaborate with the Logistics Team to maintain accurate records. Engage with shipping lines on charge disputes and provide resolution support. Export Responsibilities Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal teams to schedule outbound international shipments. Prepare and review export documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, and export declarations. Ensure compliance with U.S. export regulations and destination country requirements. Monitor and track outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery to customers. Address and resolve any delays or issues related to export processes. General Responsibilities Provide overall support to the Import/Export Logistics Team. Maintain strong communication with internal departments including Sales, Customer Service, and Operations. Identify opportunities for process improvements in both import and export workflows. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. 2-3 years of experience in an import/export logistics or international trade role. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with international shipping documentation and freight terminology. Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities. Positive attitude and strong commitment to teamwork. Additional Requirements Ability to reliably commute or relocate to New York, NY 10010 before starting work.
