We are currently seeking a Production Planner to support our manufacturing operations team in Hauppauge, NY. This full-time, onsite role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational and planning skills who thrives in a dynamic production environment. Position Summary The Production Planner will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate flow of materials and work orders through the production process. This role requires hands-on experience with MRP/ERP systems, coordination across departments, and a focus on continuous improvement of workflows and reporting. Key Responsibilities Utilize an MRP/ERP system to generate and manage internal work orders for parts, sub-assemblies, and finished goods. Distribute and monitor work orders to ensure production schedules are met. Ensure all completed work orders are properly closed in the system. Collaborate with the Operations team to resolve production issues and implement process improvements. Create and maintain production-related reports for use across departments. Identify and recommend improvements to optimize production planning processes. Qualifications Required Bachelor with 5 years’ experience or Associate with 7 years of experience, in production management, Engineering, Business, or a related field Prior experience in a manufacturing environment Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and production planning tools Strong understanding of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and standard manufacturing workflows Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt plans in response to supply chain disruptions, equipment failures, or changes in customer demand Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities with a high attention to detail Strong verbal and written communication skills Self-motivated and willing to take initiative in continuous improvement efforts Qualifications Desired Experience with Costpoint ERP software Advanced analytical and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel Strong writing abilities, including spelling, grammar, and typing accuracy Demonstrated ability to improve and streamline routine tasks with care and precision
