Shipping & Logistics Specialist Pay Rate/Range:

$20.00 to $24.00

7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Responsibilities:

As the Shipping and Logistics Specialist your main responsibilities will include: Operate forklifts, cranes, hoists and related equipment to move materials and test equipment . Manage daily shipping and receiving, including coordination with internal teams, clients and freight carriers. Track equipment and materials using the Traveler Form system, maintain accurate records and suggest process improvements. Monitor and respond to shipping/logistics emails; ensure timely communication with clients. Document all incoming and outgoing items with photographs and upload to project folders. Scan and file shipping documents in designated digital folders. Align logistics with the lab’s testing schedule; ensure equipment is staged in the correct areas. Perform routine safety checks on handling equipment and facility lighting. Track fire extinguisher inventory and schedule refills as needed. Coordinate rigging crew when lifting requirements exceed in-house capabilities. Provide general logistics and operations support as needed.

Requirements:

•Proficient in operating forklifts, cranes, hoists and related equipment. High school diploma or technical/vocational training in a related field 2 years of experience in shipping, logistics or warehouse operations Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Outlook or Email, Word and Excel.
