The Product Marketing Manager reports to the Director of ProductMarketing. This position is responsible for the messaging andgo-to-market of RealPage’s property operations team focused onspend and vendor management solutions in the multifamily realestate industry. This role creates compelling product messaging,planning and executing go-to-market programs, and educates andenables internal teams on new products and capabilities. As theexpert on buyers, how they buy, and their purchasing criteria – youwill use that knowledge to empower the Product, Marketing and Salesteams as we drive adoption and expansion of our solutions. The PMMwill focus on multiple personas in the source-to-pay ecosystemincluding property management companies, vendors who service thePMCs, suppliers and channel partners.
Primary ResponsibilitiesGo-to-Market Programs:
Help define, plan, and execute go-to-marketfor a set of integrated products, in coordinated partnership withProduct Management, Marketing and Business Development / Salesteams.
Product Strategy Support:
Be a valued partner to ProductManagement in identifying and prioritizing product capabilitiesrequired to address market needs. Drive clarity around markettrends, customer needs, and industry best practices. Independentlygather, analyze, and synthesize data to define buyer segments andbusiness value delivered. Product Messaging /
Positioning:
Developsuccinct, compelling, and differentiated product messaging,supported by measurable proof points.
Pricing and Packaging:
Define, evaluate, and support pricing and packaging recommendationsto ensure market competitiveness, appropriate margin, and businesssustainability.
Marketing and Sales Content:
Develop and deliverhigh-impact assets such as presentations, case studies,battlecards, videos, web pages, customer FAQs, competitivepositioning, etc.
Internal Enablement:
Create sales, customersuccess and vendor support training materials that cover industrytrends, buyer personas, pain points, solutions, value proposition,sales plays, and competitive positioning.
Marketing Strategy:
Collaborate with Demand Generation, developing strategies to targetaccounts and segments, messaging, and promotions to generate leads
Competitive Intelligence:
Provide an informed point of view anddeliverables articulating where competition is headed or willemerge, and how to win at an individual product and competitorlevel. Buying /
Sales Cycle Analysis:
Blueprint the buyer’s journeyand personas, and map decisions/information needs at each stage.
Subject Matter Expertise:
Serve as a subject matter expert on yourproducts and buyers in support of marketing and sales programs.
Product Marketing Expertise:
In-depth understanding of internalprocesses and expectations to ensure uninterrupted and smoothdelivery of launches and support functions. Qualifications 5 years’experience in B2B software product marketing. Experience marketingsoftware solutions in one or more of the following softwaresegments is highly desirable: multifamily property management,spend management, purchasing, procurement, procure-to-pay, invoiceprocessing, accounting/finance, digital payments, vendormanagement, compliance, or related areas. Background in productmanagement, sales engineering, customer success, implementation, orsoftware engineering, is a plus. Pragmatic Institute ProductMarketing certification is a plus. Bachelor’s degree in marketing,business, computer/information science, or related disciplines. MBAis a plus, but not required Knowledge /Skills /Abilities Excellentwriting skills, with the ability to independently create compellingmarketing content without editing assistance. Creative storytellerthat can craft elegant and compelling messages for complex productsand succinctly explain complex ideas. Strong analytical mind,skilled in assessing problems and making recommendations supportedby data. Assertive and persuasive personality that can confidentlytake a seat at the table and be a full thought partner (not just anorder taker) with others, regardless of title. Deep understandingof B2B sales processes and how best to support sales teams andequip them for success. Pragmatic self-starter that isoutcomes-oriented and can juggle multiple work streams. Very strongproject management skills, with the ability create, drive, andmanage detailed, multi-role projects with on-time delivery andregular communication. Ability to lead and influencecross-functional teams effectively to deliver required results.
