Logistics Coordinator Position Summary:

Logistics Coordinators are responsible for the safe and efficientrouting of company trucks and third-party carriers to satisfycustomer delivery requirements. Responsibilities include but arenot limited to performing order optimization activities,coordinating load assignments to drivers, monitoring customerinventories, managing customer supply obligations, and handlingcustomer communications. Major Functional Areas and Description of Duties (but not limitedto): Ensure Safe and Regulatory-Compliant Service

  • Monitor driver logs and schedule drivers daily activitiesaccordingly to ensure DOT compliance
  • Administer driver drug & alcohol testing program to ensure drivercompliance
  • Ensure driver dispatch and all driver communications supportCompany’s safety culture
  • Schedule inventory managed deliveries based on current tanklevels in order not to exceed the ninety percent safe fill level. Satisfy Customer Service Requirements
  • Manage customer fuel inventory levels and schedule deliveries tomeet customer’s inventory standards.
  • Assign orders to drivers to meet customer requirements includingdelivery windows, supply obligations, equipment requirements,special delivery instructions, etc
  • Identify when order demand in Company’s geography exceedsavailable capacity and coordinate with approved common carriers tomeet order demand
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external customers,drivers, operations, and management to resolve logistics andservice issues Increase Operational Efficiencies
  • Maximize loaded mileage percentage of all dispatched units on adaily basis through route optimization and TMW order analysis
  • Solicit business from customers when available capacity exceedsdemand or to increase loaded miles
  • Collaborate with Maintenance Managers to schedule preventativemaintenance and repair of equipment to maximize truck availabilityand utilization
  • Identify opportunities to increase operational efficienciesthrough better use of drivers, equipment, and technology (TMW) Qualifications/Competencies 1.

BA/BS in Supply Chain, Transportation, or BusinessAdministration or equivalent work experience Required 2. Analytical/Problem-solving skills to solve complex logistical’puzzles’ Required 3. Ability to work well in a fast-paced and constantly changingenvironment Required 4. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively over the phone,in person, and in writing Required 5. A working knowledge of Microsoft Work, Excel and OutlookRequired 6. Knowledge of petroleum industry Preferred 7. Experience in the TMW software platform or relatedtransportation management system May be trained Special Notations or Conditions of Employment The position has a rotating schedule of four days on/four days offfrom 07:00 – 19:00. At times, this position requires workingon holidays and is subject to change based on the needs of thebusiness.
