New Eagle, PA Summary The Production Planner manages the scheduling and timeliness of the production processes of New Eagle and Donora facilities to ensure the company meets all deadlines. Duties include scheduling production with material and equipment availability and monitoring the production reporting to make timely adjustments. Major Duties and Responsibilities Collaboration with Customer Service, Purchasing, Sales, and Operations groups to develop up to a two-week production schedule, which likely requires updates/ modifications to accommodate priority sales orders or to adjust to plant functionality. Daily communication with plant managers on 48-hour production plans, confirming all raw materials available on site and equipment on schedule. Plan for labor requirements, and communicate secondary “what if” plans as part of daily discussions. Prepare any required paperwork/labels that need sent to plant personnel. Prepare material transfer orders based on upcoming production and current inventory. Ensure minimum customer stocking requirements are met. Developing new performance report for the plants to bring visibility to % on schedule vs. off schedule and what are the major influencers to those changes.

Position Demands Knowledge:

Bachelor’s in supply chain or business management, or related field is preferred. Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) accreditation or other relevant certification is advantageous. Proven experience working as a production planner. Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications. Sound knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP), or (ERP) resource planning. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Effective communication skills.

Skills & Abilities:

Should be knowledgeable of material requirements planning and able to manage production deadlines. Ultimately, an exceptional production planner should demonstrate excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills to ensure that production operations run smoothly. Strong math and statistics skills.

General:

Generally, office work with regular auditing and data collection work from physical visits into both NE and Donora operations. Will work overtime as needed. Availability on call.
