What we need:
Natco is seeking a highly skilled Logistics Import Specialist to join our Logistics team. This is a hybrid position based out of our West Warwick, RI corporate headquarters. The primary function of this role is to coordinate inbound and outbound freight under the direction of the Director of Logistics. Responsibilities include tracking shipments, managing delivery documentation, and communicating with vendors, carriers, and suppliers regarding compliance, payments, and proof of delivery. The specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely shipments while maintaining effective communication with customers and suppliers. What you’ll do: Track and monitor shipments using various carrier web sites Communicate with customers and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate documentation for assigned shipments Verify and input shipment details and container receipts into internal systems Send purchase order (PO) information to the Customer Service team for invoicing Process and email invoices/documentation to assigned customers, Sales, and Credit teams Process wire transfers to facilitate payments to material suppliers Update and maintain ETA and vessel information in the transportation systems Track direct import shipments and deliveries; support DI customers and Sales team with shipment inquiries and issue resolution, including providing proof of delivery Provide support, share knowledge, and provide systems training to other team members as needed Perform all other projects or duties as directed by the Director of Logistics What you’ll have: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience will be considered 1+ years of US import and logistics experience preferred 1+ years of US Custom regulations and tariff (HTS) codes experience preferred 1+ years of working with ocean carriers, freight forwarder, and US Custom brokers preferred Experience working with multiple computer systems and web sites related to transportation preferred What you’re good at: Verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Communicating professionally with multiple levels of the organization as well as with outside customers and vendors Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Excel knowledge Organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities under strict deadlines Working independently in a fast-paced work environment Adaptable and reliable with the ability to self-direct and anticipate work needs Critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Solid math and analytical skills Team player with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
