Full Job Description Position Summary:
The Logistics Coordinator will manage all aspects of logistics throughout our organization ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations. They will be responsible for all supply chain management duties including selecting carriers, researching shipping methods, assessing budgets and organizing storage.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee all supply chain operations.
- Select carriers and negotiate contracts and rates.
- Organize and manage storage and transportation.
- Analyze and optimize logistical procedures.
- Ensure the safe and timely pick-up and delivery of shipments.
- Monitor shipments, costs, timelines, and productivity.
- Evaluate budgets and expenditures.
- Research ideal shipping techniques, routing and carriers.
- Work with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations.
- Adress and resolve all shipment and delivery issues.
- Answer customer queries in a professional and timely manner.
- Update and evaluate metrics to assess performance and implement enhancements.
- Ensure all operations adhere to laws, guidelines, and ISO requirements.
- Perform other duties as necessary or assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain or relevant field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in management or similar role.
- Working knowledge of legal regulations and ISO requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access) and logistics software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with sound judgement and outstanding problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines and the ability to work independently.
- Must possess excellent organizational skills with great attention to detail.
- Salary commensurate with experience.
