- Located in our Florence, SC facilities, as a Materials Specialist, you will combine knowledge in material flow with project management to lead the seamless execution of projects from concept to completion.
You will be responsible for managing relocation of material from warehouse to manufacturing, optimization of material flow, and defining / documenting the optimal layout while ensuring that project timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met. Your ability to lead cross-functional teams, optimize material flow, and resolve issues proactively will be critical in delivering projects successfully.

Process Improvement:
- Design and implement the future state layout for all material flow. Identify opportunities to streamline material handling processes, improve workflows, and reduce bottlenecks, ensuring smoother execution of projects. Propose and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency. +

Material Planning & Coordination:
- Complete data analysis on each part to determine optimum order quantity, packaged quantity, and stocked quantity to enable optimized flow from receipt to delivery. Collaborate with materials and sourcing teams to drive changes with suppliers. +

Project Management:
- Lead the relocation of material from warehouse to plant, ensuring materials are available on time and in location for each phase of the project. Oversee project timelines, milestones, and deliverables. +

Cost & Budget Control:
- Monitor project budgets, identify opportunities for cost-saving measures, and implement strategies to reduce waste and improve efficiency. +

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work with plant materials teams and production teams to define the plant layout and execute to a roadmap / timeline. +

Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare detailed project updates / reports using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio, as well as Smartsheet.
- Required Qualifications
- + Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college, or Technical / Associates Degree and a minimum of 2 years experience in Engineering + Experience with Microsoft Excel to analyze data. + Experience with AutoCAD for layout design.

- + Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, and execute projects.
