Production Planner

Job Summary:

The Production Liaison Analyst coordinates product scheduling across Sales, Operations, and Field departments to ensure efficient production and inventory management. This role ensures timely production processes that meet customer demands, maintain optimal inventory, and align with company profitability goals.

Key Responsibilities:
Production Scheduling:

Review and prioritize orders to create efficient schedules, adjusting as needed to meet customer needs.

Monitor Shipments:

Track production progress to ensure on-time deliveries, resolving delays promptly.

Performance Metrics:

Analyze scheduling accuracy, order fulfillment, and planning efficiency.

Order & Backlog Management:

Prioritize and schedule orders in collaboration with Sales and Operations.

Team Communication:

Keep Sales and Operations informed of production schedules and any changes.

Adjust Schedules:

Modify schedules to address delays and ensure customer commitments are met.

Shipping Commitments:

Ensure schedules align with shipping commitments, keeping the Sales team updated on any disruptions.

Cross-Department Collaboration:

Participate in daily meetings with Sales, Marketing, and Production to align on priorities.

Inventory Management:

Oversee inventory levels to support production schedules and notify Sales of any production overruns.

Customer Communication:

Notify customers of any delays or schedule changes and manage expectations.

Compliance:

Ensure adherence to QSHE standards and industry regulations.

Qualifications:

Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Knowledge of production processes, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
Familiarity with QSHE standards and industry safety regulations.
Proficiency in scheduling software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Master’s degree in business management or related discipline (preferred).

Specialized Skills/Knowledge:

Knowledge of meat processing, product scheduling, and HACCP food safety management.
Strong understanding of product lines, production processes, and supply chain management.
Expertise in project and risk management, demand planning, forecasting, and inventory management.
Proficient in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and teamwork skills.
Skilled in Microsoft Excel.

Experience:

At least 2 years of experience in production planning or a related field.
