Vehicle Maintenance and Analysis Specialist

Posted 3 days ago Administer and perform scheduling and analysis of maintenance performed on Government vehicles and equipment. Oversees Fleet Management and accounts for the vehicle fleet. Use Government computer systems including Logistics Installation and Mission Support Enterprise View (LIMS-EV), Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS), and Transaction Report Tool (TRT) to manage the vehicle data collection system and develops local retrievals to obtain specific data. Files historical data and maintains vehicle records. Responsibilities Plan, organize and direct functions and activities related to the procurement, servicing, operation, maintenance and repair of government vehicles and equipment. Research parts, materials, and servicing, obtain quotes, and works with Business Manager for procurement Establish and maintain priorities and timelines associated with vehicle repairs. Assure government vehicle-related functions and activities comply with established laws, codes, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Monitor, evaluate and determine priority of vehicle maintenance, servicing, and repairs, coordinate off-site maintenance, repair, and recovery functions for roadside vehicle malfunctions. Works with Air Force VSCOS to plan, organize and direct the procurement of government vehicles; prepare vehicle specifications according to needs; research and evaluate new vehicle authorizations. Oversee the process for shipping or disposal of used government vehicles. Establishes and maintains effective business relationships with vendors and suppliers. Ensure parts costs are accurately recorded; verify and maintain invoices and shipping documents, accounts for work order residue, returned parts, core charges, and common bench stock items within purchase log. Accomplish physical inventory of parts/supplies. Assist in variety of administration matters. Prepare monthly reports. Communicate with management and outside organizations to coordinate activities and programs, resolve issues and conflicts and exchange information. Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent Minimum of four (4) years of fleet management and servicing experience, either commercial or military transportation experience. Ability to operate a PC and other office automation equipment. Must have Proficient knowledge of Microsoft word, excel and outlook Possession of a current state issued Driver’s License Ability to obtain Public Trust Job
