Job Description
DescriptionWork on 1P business development opportunities to expand the 1P carrier adoption and onboarding amongst the vendors. Work with partners in Amazon logistics business, Amazon Procurement, and 1P Carriers to align capacity to demand, with respect to origin location, size, special handling requirements, and speed expectations. Build alignment with internal and external transportation providers; negotiate and deliver incremental carrier capacity when needed to meet program volume, particularly for Prime week and Peak season. Develop mechanisms to provide visibility to performance and hold partners accountable. Work with Direct Fulfillment colleagues in Business Development, Account Management, Product, Tech as well as Amazon internal carriers to build processes and tools to enable scalable and flexible operations and drive growth towards program goals. Influence the vision and detailed requirements for automated solutions to enable our business to manage key levers like transit time, transit time contingencies, and carrier capacity.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of supply chain, forecasting, manufacturing, sourcing/procurement, or vendor management experience
- 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- 3+ years of supply chain experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvementsPreferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of supply chain, forecasting, manufacturing, sourcing/procurement, or vendor management experience
- 5+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

The base pay for this position ranges from $77,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $141,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
