Who we are and what we do: The Department of Finance and Administration is currently seeking experienced candidates for a Vendor Management Office Lead position. This position will lead the Vendor Management Office within Strategic Technology Solutions and will be primarily focused on ensuring consistent performance management and mitigating risks with for operationally critical vendors according to vendor management policy.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain the Vendor Management Program, inclusive of Policy and Procedures. Implement and manage a Vendor Risk Management (VRM) application to perform risk assessments, trigger and store vendor due diligence, track and remediate open findings, and risk acceptances and business continuity plans. Coach and train internal service owners on how to manage their vendors according to vendor management policy, procedures, and the VRM application. Develop tools and templates, such as vendor scorecards to help ensure the success of the service owners in managing their vendors. Report on Vendor Management Program metrics to STS management and service owners through dashboards. Respond to internal and external audits to demonstrate STSs compliance with the Vendor Management policies and procedures. Lead recurring meetings with critically operational suppliers. Develop and manage the vendor offboarding process to ensure vendors are offboarded by policy. Develop and maintain the vendor segmentation framework and ensure the segmentation is updated as needed based on changes in contracting scope and the onboarding of new vendors. Represent the Vendor Management Office on various internal risk and control committees plus other working groups. Assist service owners in managing vendor risks throughout all phases of the vendor relationship life cycle. Identify opportunities for process improvements to deliver increasing operational efficiency in the vendor oversight processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum/Required Qualifications:
5 years of relevant experience in vendor performance management and third-party risk mitigation and compliance. Ability to engage and communicate with internal and external stakeholders. Proficient project management and time management skills. Self-motivated, with executive presence and presentation skills. Understanding of supply agreements, contractual terms and relationship management skills. Track record of demonstrating initiative and motivation, working independently and holding him/herself accountable for high levels of performance with minimal supervision. Ability to be resourceful in researching issues, solving problems, and offering solutions.
Minimum/Preferred Qualifications:
Sourcing/Procurement knowledge is a plus. Professional accreditation in IT audit, security, privacy or other related technology disciplines (CISA, CISSP, CIPP, etc.). Familiarity with external regulations, IRS Pub. 1075, CJIS, SSA, and MARS-E. Familiarity with service organization reports (SSAE 16 / SSAE 18 / ISAE 3402) and other industry certifications (e.g., ISO, PCI-DSS, SysTrust).
