Transportation Area Capacity Coordinator Brown Trucking Company 8912 Transport Lane, Ooltewah, TN 37363 Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Area Capacity Coordinator to join our logistics team. The Area Capacity Coordinator will promote a positive customer experience, a safety-first culture in the terminal workplace and ensure a high level of servicing Third Party (3PL) and Broker freight.
Responsibilities:
Manage EDI acceptance for 3PL’s and brokers at levels required. Monitor and manage daily and weekly On-Time Service for 3PL’s and brokers. Point of contact for 3PL and brokers’ needs. Owns those relationships to develop the best possible service for the broker. Address broker needs relating to inside sales, rates, lanes, and trailer pools. Review Broker Contracts to ensure they are acceptable and up to date. Work with Strategic Business Development Manger to keep contract current Work with the Strategic Business Development Manager to develop consistency where needed in the system. Perform duties according to local, state, and federal laws and regulations at all times. Relay positive safety performance to 3PL’s and brokers. Participate in 3PL and broker Conference Calls, including QBRs. Be available at any time to assist the brokers as needs arise. Provide fellow CSRs/Planners with assistance as needs arise. Be an advocate for the 3PL and broker, as well as the BTC company needs with the 3PL or broker.
Required Skills:
High School Diploma is required (and college degree is preferred), with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Must be able to manage multiple concurrent tasks in a dynamic environment. Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills. The ability to successfully interface with individuals at all levels, including top management, is essential. A high degree of computer proficiency is required, especially in MS Excel. Industry knowledge of Transportation, Logistics, and Planning. Analytical thinker with the ability to identify and implement Process Improvements.
Environment and Physical Requirements:
Most of the work week will be spent in the office with occasional travel by automobile. Duties include administrative functions using the phone, computer and communicating with people. Must be able to sit a minimum of 8 hours per day and perform keyboard operations a minimum of 6 hours per day.
