Volt is immediately hiring a Logistics Clerk (Distribution Center Shipping Specialist) in Knoxville, TN 37932. As a Logistics Clerk (Distribution Center Shipping Specialist)- you will be responsible for.

DESCRIPTION

This role is responsible for all aspects of domestic and international shipments. This includes all appropriate shipping and export documentation as well as final packing of orders to ensure safe and secure delivery. To perform this job satisfactorily, a broad knowledge of global export regulations as well as environmental policies and regulations is needed. The ability to remain current with this knowledge is also required since the global standards and regulations are always changing.

Responsibilities:

Processes shipments on parcel clients (UPS, FedEx, and DHL) and BOL in shipping systems to include research and tracking shipments for customers as required. Transact daily shipments including producing labels and other documents for domestic and international shipments. Adhere to all ISO Procedures, Work Instructions and Process Packages including auditing line items on sales orders/invoices for accuracy. Package and mark shipments for all departments as needed. Responsible for assisting other departmental areas when primary responsibilities are completed. Perform computer operations as required in Business Systems such as Oracle, AES and Tradesphere. Supporting all Dangerous Goods requirements Key Performance Indicators This role does not own the KPIs, but the person in this role is responsible for supporting continuous improvement in the following KPIs for the team: Pack-to-ship complete cycle time. CSP failures due to Pack/Ship.

Must be able to attain – 49 CFR (DOT); International Air Traffic Association (IATA); International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. Must be able to safely use all packaging and freight handling equipment associated with a shipping dock area. Ability to maintain positive work relationships with all work associates. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

Some experience with all aspects of Global export documentation and knowledge of current Global export regulations a plus. Oracle experience a plus. Some experience in all modes of transportation with focus on international transportation and trade compliance a plus. Knowledge of Hazardous Material transportation regulations.
