La Vergne, TN, USA What you will be doing:
Responsible for developing and leading the planning team in scheduling production, controlling inventory, and meeting customer demand. They will oversee the team’s day-to-day operations, ensuring that production schedules are optimized, inventory levels are maintained, and customer demand is met. Strategic thinking with a focus on continuous improvement, and possess excellent communication and leadership skills What you will bring to the table: Develop and execute supply chain strategies that optimize efficiency, minimize cost, and improve customer satisfaction
Lead cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and drive implementation of best practices across the supply chain
Manage production performance to ensure schedule adherence is met. In the event of missed production, lead root cause analysis and provide recommendations for countermeasures moving forward.
Regular review of supply shortage to customer’s demand providing escalation where necessary and action plan for mitigation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement inventory management strategies that optimize inventory levels reducing excess, obsolete and slow-moving finished goods
Analyze customer demand patterns and develop production plans that meet customer needs while minimizing inventory costs
Prepare reports and presentations to communicate supply chain performance to management
Be recognized as your department’s subject matter expert by peers and customers
Mentor and train Planner I and II’s as required
Represent the Planning department in process development, functional group, or business unit meetings and/ or projects What we can provide you: A collaborative learning work environment

REQUIREMENTS
Degree Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field or equivalent experience

Certification Requirements:

CPIM preferred but not required

Previous Experience:

6+ years preferred
6+ years preferred

Travel Requirements:

Both domestic and international travel could be required between Yazaki facilities and to customer and manufacturing sites

Language:

English (required), Spanish (preferred)

Application/Software:

SAP, Success Factors and Microsoft Suite

On Call Requirements:

During customer production hours including overtime, weekend hours and holidays. Extended work hours occasionally required to meet with parties in different time zones.
