Tasks and Qualifications:
What You Will Do In This Role:
Participate in semi-complex buying strategies to purchase andarrange timely delivery of supplies and materials and expedites asvital. Effectively manage supply programs to meet lead times, as wellas delivery dates for projects and sales orders. Procure and manage material to meet quality, delivery,inventory, and price targets (use SAP). Own daily working relationships with suppliers, categoryleaders and project leaders within the Parts Logistics Team whileeffectively connect with and engage all levels of the organizationas well as key suppliers and customers. Assess demand and place purchase orders for Spare Partpurchases. Review incoming orders, verify ship dates, and connectwith suppliers to confirm delivery dates, and expedite orderdelivery as needed. Maintain material master data on assigned part numbers in SAPand act as the point of contact with suppliers and participate innegotiation of prices, terms, and quality requirements. Support supplier quality and supplier development activities,including supervising and improving delivery reliability and leadtime reduction. Resolve semi-complex delivery, quality or other relatedproblems with invoices or purchases and ensure purchase orders arelegally compliant and have the accurate customer flow downs andspecifications of purchase. Optimally apply knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices,and procedures of Supply Chain Management. Solid understanding of SAP and EDI transmission of theprocure-to-pay process, including data elements.
What We Are Looking For:

- 5 years minimum proven experience in purchasing or MaterialsManagement.
Manufacturing environment preferred. Demonstrates good grasp of knowledge of the field. 3-5 years minimum proven experience with SAP desirable. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is required, ideallyin Supply Chain Management, Finance, Marketing, Engineering, orBusiness. CPIM or CSCP preferred. We are looking for a candidate with Six Sigma Yellow or Greenbelt preferred but not required. Got Microsoft? You’ll need strong skills with Microsoftapplications such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
