Logistics Coordinator Job Description Ensure that shipments and files are efficiently moving through the export process at a fast pace. Responsibilities include data input, logging files, and coordinating the movement of shipments between origin and destination. Responsibilities Understand the transaction and responsibilities, including client billing, trucking arrangements, carrier coordination, and delivery at destination. Check for completed setup documents for the shipper, including

POA, EAL, SLI

contacts, etc. Book, arrange, or confirm cargo space with carriers. Send booking confirmations, work orders, and confirm availability. Provide timely responses to clients regarding delays and additional charges. Arrange trucking, fumigation, etc. as needed. Confirm loading appointments, shipment pickups, and ingates. Request commercial documents. Monitor group emails daily. Understand the differences between loading ports, discharging ports, and destination ports. File rates once shipments have been confirmed with trucking and/or shipper for loading times in accordance with FMC. Assist other departments to meet customer service needs. Essential Skills Industry experience Trucking/Dispatching experience Ability to handle multiple accounts Proficiency in Excel Experience with BOLs Comfortable with Outlook Email Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with CargoWise would be a plus Work Environment This position requires working onsite in an office environment.
