$40.5K – $45.7K a year 1 day ago Qualifications Mid-level Full Job Description Provide reliable hands-on assistance in the preparation, handling, and shipment of power transformers. This position involves physical labor and coordination to ensure that all equipment is safely packaged, accurately documented, and shipped on time, while complying with transportation, safety, and quality regulations. The Logistics Technician supports daily shipping and receiving operations and contributes directly to warehouse organization, material handling, and logistics workflow. This also includes storage and delivery activities for the factory with a focus on inbound and outbound goods, material warehousing, inventory management and cost.
THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING
Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments of power transformers, transformer components and related equipment. Manually move and position heavy materials using forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, or other handling equipment (certification preferred or must be obtained). Secure large equipment using approved strapping, blocking, and bracing techniques. Assist in packaging/crating of transformers per internal and customer specifications, ensuring adequate protection for transport. Perform inspections of inbound materials and outbound loads to verify count, damage, and conformity to shipment documentation. Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas within the warehouse and shipping/receiving zones. Follow safety and environmental policies during material handling, loading/unloading, and equipment operation. Support coordination of heavy-haul logistics, including scheduling transportation for oversized loads and working with freight forwarders.
Prepare accurate shipping documents:
bills of lading, packing lists, load plans, and customs paperwork. Track shipments and provide status updates to internal teams and customers. Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, receipts, and shipments using ERP systems. Monitor storage locations and help organize stock and equipment for quick retrieval and optimized space usage. Assist with conducting cycle counts and periodic inventory audits. Train in and follow all logistics SOPs related to shipping, receiving, storage, and documentation Furthers the goals and positive, professional image of the factory by conducting business with other Hyosung HICO divisions, departments, suppliers, etc. in a timely and cooperative manner. Know Hyosung HICO’s Quality, Safety and Environmental Policies. Be able to fully discuss the importance of these policies and how they impact work.

Evaluate material flows into, through and out of Hyosung HICO to drive continuous improvement of material on hand and inventory levels. Develop, monitor and drive improvement of logistics and inventory performance metrics. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly. Must be able to stand, bend, and perform physical labor for extended periods. Able to operate heavy equipment (with certification or willingness to obtain). Tolerance for indoor/outdoor working conditions, including heat, cold, and industrial noise. Occasional travel to customer sites or remote storage facilities may be required. Coordinate with Purchasing to analyze specifications, transportation supplier capabilities, and market conditions to determine the best source for procurement of Hyosung HICO supplies, services, and parts. Make recommendations and take actions to improve Company policies and procedures. Develop, compose, and distribute procedures as required. Perform other duties as assigned.
