Position Summary:

The Material Planner is responsible for ensuring materials and components are available to meet production schedules and customer demands. This role manages inventory levels, places purchase orders, monitors supplier performance, and works cross-functionally with production, purchasing, and logistics to ensure a smooth supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

Review demand plan and order material to maintain proper inventory levels Plan, schedule, and coordinate the delivery of materials to meet production demands Monitor material availability and resolve any supply issues that could impact production Analyze Material Requirements to place purchase orders accordingly from overseas Maintain accurate data in systems including item lead times, part mins, and reorder points Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and escalate issues as needed Collaborate with production, procurement, and warehouse teams to support lean inventory practices Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to material flow and supply chain optimization

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience) 2+ years of experience in material planning, production planning, or inventory control Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.) required Self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and organizational abilities Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools

Preferred:

APICS CPIM or similar certification Experience in a manufacturing or remanufacturing environment Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles Experience with Powerlink, Fuse 5, and Striven (preferred) Experience in distribution site Pay and Benefits Competitive pay Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Paid Time Off Paid Company Holidays 401K Why Join Us?
