Description Job Description – Manufacturing Planner II Our Manufacturing Planning Team enables the continued success of the Single-Use Technology Division (SUD) by efficiently leveraging our ERP- and Advanced Planning Systems to plan and schedule jobs for custom orders and made-to-stock product. They deliver a schedule that is loaded against the capacity targets, while considering material availability and accommodating expedites and customer requests when possible.
A day in the life:
- Utilize
MRP/ERP/ASCP
systems to develop and maintain production schedules aligned with customer demands, inventory levels, and production capacity.
- Monitor and reconcile exception messages.
- Manage key item settings in the ERP system to ensure proper functionality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Materials Planning, Operations, Customer Operations and Support, Logistics) to ensure timely and efficient production and delivery.
- Proactively identify and resolve production-related issues or bottlenecks to minimize disruptions and optimize workflow efficiency.
- Expedite production batches to meet urgent customer requests.
- Analyze and interpret production data using advanced Excel skills; identify trends and make data-driven decisions to optimize production processes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes, streamline workflows, and increase operational efficiency.
- Support expansion and harmonization projects.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Keys to
Success:
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree required in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
- Preference for Certification in
APICS CPIM, CSCP, ISM
CPSM, Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher) Experience
- 2+ years of experience in Production/Manufacturing Planning or Supply Chain
- Planning and scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment utilizing MRP/ERP and APS (Oracle, ASCP, SAP, JDE, server-based systems) Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Proficient in managing and analyzing data in Excel
- Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing concepts and principles, finite scheduling, product flow, data management, and supply chain planning
