- Serco supports the US Navy as a prime for their NAVSEA contract which supports their defense work on Surface Ships.
Our team provides various types of support to the Navy Modernization Process. The mission of the Navy Modernization Process (NMP) is to provide a disciplined process to deliver operational and technical modifications to the U.S. Naval Fleet in the most effective and cost-efficient way. The process defines a standard methodology to plan, budget, engineer, and install timely, effective, and affordable shipboard improvements while maintaining Configuration Management (CM) and supportability.
We are seeking a Integrated Logistics Analyst for all surface, non-nuclear ship classes and Integrated Logistics Services (ILS) processes. The Analyst plays a vital role in the support, project management, and professional services to the Material Management Directorate, aiding in surface ship maintenance, modernization, and sustainment, collaborating with stakeholders such as Fleet, TYCOMs, NAVSEA, CNRMC C500, and NAVSUP on CNO Availabilities, CMAVs, emergent repairs, and modernization efforts.
The ideal candidate willpossess a deep understanding of integrated logistics, enabling them to contextualize the processes within the unique challenges and requirements of the naval environment.
In this role you will
- Provide support to logistics management operations, including planning, coordinating, and evaluating the 12 Integrated Product Support Elements (IPSE)for complex systems throughout all phases of the sustainment and acquisition processes
- Develop and implement policies, guidelines, and procedures for
NAVSEA ILS
execution; analyze complex product plans, provide tracking and status reports, and ensure compliance with DoD acquisition and sustainment processes
- Create innovative solutions for complex ILS issues; draft instructions and develop product support strategies
- Perform data analysis to monitor and measure process performance; analyze and improve business or systems processes; assist in the development and implementation of logistics and maintenance processes
- Assist with strategic planning for materials and distribution; identify and resolve cross-organizational problems impacting strategic objectives
- Optimize and streamline material management processes to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials for surface ship modernization and maintenance
- Aid in programmatic tasks not limited to meeting support, presentation development, minute-taking, action item tracking and weekly reporting
- Communicate effectively on a range of integrated logistics and sustainment topics with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Interface with logistics managers, contract support services, training facilities, and Integrated Logistics Support Management organizations.## QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you must have
- An Active U.S. Government DoD Issued Secret Clearance.
- Bachelors degree in related discipline 5 to 7 years of relevant experience.
- In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 8 years applicable work experience. Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience
- Experience in using metrics to examine, analyze and evaluate logistics trends or process indicators and provide recommendations
- Experienced in logistics functions and applying concepts, policies, and program guidance
- Experience with sustainment and acquisition logistics product support elements
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, specifically MS xcel and PowerPoint in required
- Ability to travel 10%.
Desired experience and skills:
Prior military, civilian, or contractor experience in the DOD/Navy.
