Job Description

1. Maintain databases of our trucks logistics information 2. Plan transportation routes and payloads, and tenders loads. 3. Track cargo from origin to final delivery using Omnitracs and SkyBitz, and XTRA and Powerfleet tracking. 4. Monitor industry standards and evaluate market conditions to identify developments in trucking logistics. 5. Monitor truck driver’s performance via Omnitracs and Motive software 6. Manage Dry Van and Truck asset inventory, using Omnitracs and SkyBitz, and XTRA and Powerfleet tracking. 7. Manage Preventive Maintenance services, trailer registration and documentation related, annual DOT inspections and equipment rental agreement. 8. Analyze overall inventory and asset data and generate logistics reports on fleet performance. 9. Maintain various fleet schedules; assigned trucks lists, registration and licensing. 10. Enter logistics-related data into databases to ensure ongoing optimal operation execution. 11. Evaluate loads to determine the necessity of Comdata Permit Services for overweight-alcohol related permits. 12. Monitor CDL status through Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles website. 13. Prepare and update daily and weekly truck and trailer schedules to ensure optimal service levels and timely pickups and deliveries. 14. Negotiate with brokers to obtain rate information and schedules using the DAT ONE dashboard. 15. Evaluate market conditions on DAT IQ to maximize spot rates. 16. Recommend enhancements to existing or planned logistics processes and routes to optimize cost per mile and reduce fuel expenses on each load. 17. Compute reporting metrics, such as on-time pickup and delivery to maintain Carrier Advantage Status and preserve fuel discounts. 18. Arrange solutions for underutilized assets, such as leasing storage and trucks to enhance operational efficiency. 19. Evaluate and select Dry Van commodity in each cargo to ensure the safety of the cargo during transit and prevent any potential cargo claims. 20. Coordinate the transport of goods in Dry Van trailers, including Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) shipments and apply calculations of size and weight to ensure compliant cargo loading.
