This role is vital to maintaining inventory accuracy, improving inventory processes, and supporting operational efficiency across our facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in inventory management, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Inventory Control Analyst Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain accurate inventory levels of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods across manufacturing and warehouse locations. Perform and reconcile daily cycle counts, physical inventory audits, and spot checks to ensure inventory integrity. Investigate inventory discrepancies; analyze root causes and implement corrective actions in collaboration with Quality Assurance and Production teams. Analyze usage and inventory trends to reduce waste, prevent stockouts, and support lean manufacturing initiatives. Coordinate closely with Procurement, Production Scheduling, QA, and Warehouse teams to ensure accurate material movements and consumption. Ensure timely and accurate ERP inventory transactions, including material issues, backflushes, returns, transfers, and adjustments. Support traceability and lot control compliance for all ingredients and finished goods in accordance with FDA and USDA guidelines. Assist with inventory preparation for internal audits, customer inspections, and food safety certifications (e.g., HACCP, SQF). Provide accurate data for production planning, material forecasting, and inventory turnover analysis. Participate in product holds, reworks, recalls, and disposals, ensuring proper documentation and traceability. Lead or support inventory-related continuous improvement projects within a GMP-compliant environment.
Inventory Control Analyst Preferred Skills, Degree and Certifications:
Associate’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or a related field – preferred 2+ years of experience as an analyst in inventory control, supply chain, or warehouse operations – required Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NAV, Microsoft Dynamics) strongly preferred Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, reporting) Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong problem-solving and communication abilities Ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
