What You’ll Do:

Manage SSB plant service area and establish optimal operational map by factoring critical supply chain variables such as demand, supply, capacity, labor, manufacturing, and transportation costs. Provide data insights for defining plant service and segregate based on the defined territories. Manage the expectations with the plant representative, logistics and customer supply chain teams. Facilitate working sessions where changes to delivery schedules are done. Manage communications regarding delivery schedule changes with sales, supply chain managers, logistics, plant ops and customer service teams. Work with cross-functional teams to look for areas of improvement and optimization. Develop ad-hoc reports providing business insights regarding network changes to the stakeholders. Establish effective and streamlined communication addressing questions/concerns/pushbacks related to the optimization strategy. Develop business solutions to address complex business problems with advanced analytics to provide decision making abilities and scalable prototype models. Architect and deploy data pipelines on Azure cloud platform as per business needs. Develop and maintain ETL data pipelines on cloud and on-premises platforms. Create ah-hoc data visualization reports for planning, production, and logistics teams. Design, test and implement well written code from source to the presentation layer. Support/troubleshoot data pipelines, code, and other technical issues holistically. Responsible for supporting data and analytics initiatives with the business intelligence supply chain manager and acting as a data liaison for the company to translate ERP, customer, facility, dimensional, and fact data into clean, referential, and re-portable data sets used in internal dashboards, reports, and models.

What You’ll Do Cont’d:

Design data flows to ingest and clean disparate data sources into a SQL Server database. Interface with Operations network to gather data inputs not stored through systematic means, translating information into machine-readable formats. Participate in demand and supply review processes, making sure data inputs and outputs are understood by intended audiences. Execute exception reporting, identifying opportunities for supply chain optimization. Develop translation mechanisms between internal and external data sources (ex. Calendars, SKUs, terminology). Work cross functionally with Sales & Finance to gather data inputs and provide outputs related to demand review processes.

What You’ll Bring:

Familiarity with (beginner/intermediate skills) SQL, BI tools (preferably Power BI) and Excel (pivots, macros, etc.). Familiarity with data warehousing and data manipulation (ETL vs ELT). Microsoft Office competencies (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Comfortable and capable presenting material to cross-functional groups. Must have at least a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain Management or related field. Must have completed graduate level coursework in Engineering Supply Chain Systems, Lean Process Improvements for Engineers, and Ethics in Engineering. Why work at Serta Simmons Bedding?
