Job Description About the role:
As theDemand Planning Lead, you will be responsible for managing thedemand forecast and collaborating with the US commercial franchise,commercial planning, and finance, to ensure the proper demandsignal is being submitted in Takeda’s Integrated Business Planningsystem IBP, to our manufacturing Operating Units (OpU’s) forproducts in scope. You will report into the Head of US Supply ChainCoordination.
How you will contribute:
Manage a framework of keyperformance indicators that maximizes customer service level (CSL),meet target inventory levels, improves forecast accuracy (FA), andminimize product discards in the US Maintain demand forecastsegmentation for all products in scope and align on high-touch(e.g. high variability, new launch, loss-of-exclusivity, criticallow inventory coverage, etc.) vs low-touch brands for optimalresource allocation and automation Prepare and analyze actuals andforecast to decide on profiles for statistical demand forecast withthe objective to drive automatization Update the statisticalforecast according to agreed timelines for submission Collaborateon maintaining Master Data in relevant systems (e.g.
SAP, IBP
) andaccording to procedures Perform Exception-based review of updatedforecast – statistical or manual forecast – with Commercialcounterpart in Handshake Meeting and agree where local marketintelligence is required Contrast with commercial analytics demandprojections and financial revenue plans, for the brands in scopewith the objective to identify risk and opportunities In caserelevant: Manage country product allocation and quota’s accordingto plans in collaboration with Global teams Collaborate withCountry S&OP leads within own team and share outcomes fromDemand Reviews to all relevant stakeholders
MinimumRequirements/Qualifications:
BS/BA in business or relevant field(including supply chain degree) 5 years of demand and supplyplanning experience (preferably in the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry) with 3 years in a business analytics roleFundamental knowledge of supply chain MBA or other advanced degreeswith a quantitative background preferred APICS Certificationpreferred More about us: At Takeda, we are transforming patientcare through the development of novel specialty pharmaceuticals andbest in class patient support programs. Base Salary Range:
$137,000.00 – $215,270.00 The estimated salaryrange reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actualbase salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, includingthe qualifications of the individual applicant for the position,years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level ofeducation attained, certifications or other professional licensesheld, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or fromwhich they will be performing the job.
The actual base salaryoffered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wagerequirements for the job location. U.S. based employees may beeligible for short-term and/or long-termincentives. U.S.basedemployees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, visioninsurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term andlong-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuitionreimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays,and well-being benefits, among others.
