Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Inventory Analyst in Shelby, North Carolina, catering to the needs of our operations. This role involves an intricate blend of inventory management and operational processes, with a special emphasis on preparing for an upcoming audit. The role demands a hybrid work arrangement with the potential for travel.
Responsibilities:
- Lead initiatives related to physical inventory, including improvements in process and cleanup activities
- Establish processes for cycle counts, particularly focusing on inventory stored on trucks
- Implement controls for accurate inventory tracking and reconciliation
- Integrate purchasing processes to ensure harmony with inventory management
- Set guidelines for inventory write-offs and documentation
- Collaborate with teams to formulate best practices for tracking, counting, and maintaining inventory
- Align inventory records to accurately reflect existing stock, ensuring audit-readiness
- Evaluate and minimize discrepancies between reported and actual inventory
- Travel as necessary across multiple states
- Handle a hybrid work capacity—on-site as needed, with flexible remote work options. Requirements
- Proficiency in SAP B1 – Business One
- Experience in Asset Inventory management
- Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) is a must
- Knowledge of Annual Physical Inventory procedures
- Familiarity with Annual Inventory processes
- Ability to perform Physical Count tasks accurately
- Experience in handling Write Offs
- Expertise in Fixed Asset Inventory management
- Proficiency in Fixed Asset Management
- Experience in Purchasing Functions
- Knowledge of Purchasing Management strategies
- Familiarity with Purchasing Materials processes
- Proficiency in Purchasing Planning
