Job Description

Inventory Analyst 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars 670 S Dock St, Sharon, PA 16146 The Inventory Analyst is responsible for the transformer selection process. This process includes requests for inventory selection at both the order and quote stage. The inventory analyst is responsible for the update and correction of yard equipment inventory cards and creating Ready-To-Ship inventory cards. The inventory analyst will make units reservations, issue units to jobs, add incoming units to the transfer log, and ensure that accurate transactions are taking place to support the enterprise inventory goals. Repair units that have transferred ownership to Sunbelt Solomon will be dispositioned by the inventory analyst. These tasks will be performed on a daily cadence to meet the needs of the facility. The Inventory Specialist will also be responsible for participating in the continuous improvement process, removing obstacles and focusing on the provision of solutions. Compliance with all safety requirements, product quality standards and company policies are essential functions of this role. Demonstrate a high sense of urgency providing timely responses with a high degree of accuracy selecting the best quality units available. Keep apprised of unit inventory at Sunbelt Solomon site. When units requested are not available alternate solutions are presented. Communicate inventory shortages and manage escalation of any deficit that blocks order fulfillment. Must know the differences of the product classes and what values each holds regarding inventory best used for reconditioning and inventory best used for rewind. (excluding substations) Assisting with running warehouse reports when needed to help keep inventory as accurate as possible. Evaluate inventory data and ensure accuracy Assist as needed in performing yard scans to verify inventory and location Add units to the transfer log and follow up on delivery, escalating any issues that block order fulfillment. Supporting sales team with inventory queries and requests Maintain safe, clean, and orderly workstation. Other assigned duties as needed. High School or GED required. Vocational/Trade school preferred. 1-3 years’ specific transformer work history preferred 1-3 years’ mechanical and/or electrical field experience preferred Material handling equipment experience (forklift, crane, etc.), preferred. Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) required. WMS (Warehouse Management System) experience required. OSHA10 certified preferred. A proven track record in safety excellence is required. Adheres to all safety and environmental compliance regulations set by the organization. Notifies management immediately of any safety concerns, hazardous conditions, or injuries. Ability to interpret work orders and ensure the team has what they need to be set up for success to execute. Meet department and production goals set by manager. Ensure product quality meets company and client expectations. Possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, cooperative attitude, strong attention to detail and can work in a team environment. Adheres to the company’s employee handbook policies and embodies the organization’s core values. Ability to learn other department job functions and fill in as needed. Complete company compliance and safety training when required. Ability to work a flexible schedule and work under pressure in a fast-paced work environment.
