Develops & implements freight strategies by category (bulk, TL, LTL, packaged, ocean, rail, etc.) to ensure service continuity and cost optimization. B. Maintains awareness of market trends and costs; ongoing industry awareness so as to place the organization in a position to be successful with our deliveries and to manage the associated costs C. Optimizes material flow between facilities and our customers with assessment of supply chain partners and selection of optimal scenarios & contingency plans. Provides freight estimates to CS & Sales. Audits freight invoices and categorizes freight costs for accounts payable. D. Develops freight damage corrective actions and collaborate with warehouses and customer service to implement actions plans. E. Data Base Maintenance (routing lanes, NMFC, lead-times, etc.), prepares Management Dashboards & KPI’s; Develops continuous improvement culture with our freight spend & service levels. About you Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred but ability to learn, develop and contribute will be the key parameter. Prefer a minimum of 2-3 years in a supply chain or transportation role, or other applicable experience Proficiency preferred in Microsoft Office applications and SAP. Solid written & verbal communication skills. Positive and coachable personality are required. DOT, Regulatory and Safety training per company guidelines and practices.
