Job Description
Perform export logistics operations to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of shipments destined to Brazil. Provide solutions for the fast, safe, and efficient movement of special project cargo including bulk, breakbulk, and containerized cargo shipped from the United States to Brazil. Research market conditions, forecast market trends, and determine optimal shipping rates for our clients.
Implement solutions for warehousing, distribution, inventory management, and vendor identification. Participate in contract negotiations as well as settlements between foreign and domestic shippers. Prepare and release export documents, and collect documentation related to receiving and shipping freight as well as way-billing. Develop special projects that will improve oversize cargo shipments efficiently to reduce secondary costs. Survey the characteristics of projects for special cargo transport. Examine invoices and shipping manifests for conformity to tariff and customs regulations, assess charges, and collect fees for shipments. Arrange for routine and urgent solutions for various logistical problems faced by suppliers and equipment. Participate in complex on-shore logistics activities for the company, and help ensure compliance with Brazilian customs and shipping rules and regulations.
