Job Description
Description This is a contract role that is is based in Arlington, Tennessee (OR Mahwah, NJ), and focuses on managing the flow of materials from suppliers to ensure seamless production operations. The ideal candidate will apply their expertise to support efficient planning, coordination, and execution of supply chain processes.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and oversee the inbound movement of materials to meet production needs.
- Analyze material requirements and collaborate with purchasing, production, and engineering teams to ensure timely delivery.
- Create and refine specifications for new contract orders to align with business objectives.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues to maintain smooth supply chain operations.
- Utilize sound judgment to independently manage planning processes with minimal supervision.
- Apply established procedures and concepts to ensure efficient material handling and supply management.
- Develop and maintain documentation for supply chain activities and processes.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on material planning and scheduling.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures in all supply-related activities Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency in supply chain management concepts and material planning processes.
- Strong understanding of office functions and procedures related to supply chain operations.
- Familiarity with materials handling and production planning.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions based on prior experience.
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
