Thiele Kaolin Company 520 Kaolin Road Sandersville, Georgia 31082 478-552-3951 Employment Opportunity Crude Clay Coordinator Thiele Kaolin Company, a leading provider of tailored mineral solutions, is currently recruiting for a Crude Clay Coordinator. This position is located in Deepstep, Georgia.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

To ensure efficient mining in quality and production.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • CDL and heavy equipment operator experience preferred
  • Understanding of earthwork and basic clay mining principles
MAJOR DUTIES
  • Schedule and manage day-to-day crude mining activities with contractor
  • Grade ore hauled from pits utilizing mine plans derived from prospecting data
  • Provide direction on the crude source location (mine/pit), hauling equipment type & quantity, and the hauling destination (stockpiles/bins). Collect and verify daily haulage records
  • Document creation or completion of stockpiles and mine cuts
  • Monitor and manage all pit dewatering activities. This includes pumps, floats, generators, and pipes. Coordinate repairs, modifications, etc. with contractors or TKC maintenance personnel.
  • Monitor and maintain sediment and erosion control of mine site, coordinate with contractors to install and maintain erosion BMPs as required
  • Conduct general mine site management and operate mining equipment as needed
  • Split drilled core samples to be tested by techniques that will allow field verification of noted crude characteristics
  • Monitor compliance to Surface Mining Land Use Plan
  • Work well with others and with little supervision
  • Know Quality Policy, goals and objectives and how job affects them
  • Understand basic company safety rules and MSHA rules and regulations. Know what protective equipment is needed for each task
  • Know site specific hazard awareness, how to use and access MSDS, tag and lockout procedures Thiele offers excellent pay and a comprehensive fringe benefits package.
