JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Entergy is seeking an Area Substation Supervisor for an immediate hire. The Area Substation Supervisor is accountable for providing leadership, direction and oversight for the Transmission and Distribution substation maintenance activities. A successful candidate promotes safe work behaviors and actions from all assigned employees and takes full responsibility for the safety culture within the workgroup. The Supervisor will foster an environment of cooperation and support to enable employees to perform to their maximum potential. Qualified candidates will have 4+ years of related work experience, strong leadership qualities, and excellent communication skills.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure a safe work environment and safety culture exists for all assigned employees. Actively and progressively require safe work behaviors and actions from all assigned employees.
- Provide oversight, support and direction for employees to ensure that the Work Management Process is properly followed i.e. work identification, work prioritization and scheduling.
- Develop, supervise and direct the annual substation preventative, diagnostic and corrective maintenance program.
- Provide oversight, support, and direction for employees to adhere to committed O&M and SERC work plan.
- Ensure personnel adhere to the
FERC/NERC/SERC
compliance, configuration management, and maintenance procedures.
- Manage workforce mandated safety and compliance training.
Provide development opportunities for employees through training opportunities, both in house and external.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education:
- Associate Degree or Technical Degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience

Preferred:
Engineering or Technical Degree Minimum Experience:
- At least 4 years of substation related experience (engineering, construction, and/or maintenance/operations) required.
- Previous Transmission or Distribution experience as an engineer, project manager, safety specialist, or operations coordinator is preferred.

Experience leading projects, strategic initiates, or personnel.
