  Trillium Construction is now hiring a Grading Superintendent for a respected general contractor serving residential and commercial construction clients in Columbia, SC.

The Superintendent will oversee all on-site grading operations, manage field personnel, enforce safety standards, and ensure projects are completed on schedule and within quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the production and quality of all earth-moving operations.
• Supervise and coordinate field personnel and equipment.
• Review and process daily timesheets.
• Coordinate with other trades and site operations to maintain workflow.
• Enforce strict adherence to safety, environmental, and OSHA regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by project leadership.

Pay rate is up to $40 per hour and this is a direct-hire placement.

Qualifications:

• Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Experience in planning and managing grading projects from site preparation to completion.
• Proficient with GPS grading systems and technology.
• Skilled in operating a variety of heavy equipment including scrapers, motor graders, loaders, compactors, dozers, and excavators.
• Experienced in grade checking and fine grading techniques.
• Effective team leader with personnel management and accountability skills.
• Committed to safety-conscious work practices.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and demanding environments.
• Flexible schedule with the ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
