Employment Type:

Salaried position, approximately 40 hours per week; special events

Salaried Position:

$65,000. In addition to base salary, this role includes the potential for performance-based incentives tied to membership growth, fundraising success, and the overall financial health of the Chamber. About the

Position:

The Executive Director is responsible for the comprehensive management of the Chamber’s operations, ensuring the effective execution of its strategic plan. Key responsibilities include Membership Management, Visitor Services, Marketing and Promotion, Media Engagement, Financial Oversight, and Community Relations. The Executive Director works closely with the Board of Directors to align operations with the Chamber’s strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Membership & Community engagement:

  • Recruit and retain Chamber membership.
  • Build relationships with businesses, community leaders and other organizations.
  • Represent the Chamber at business and community events, meetings, etc.
Leadership & Management:
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Chamber.
  • Oversee all Chamber operations.
  • Manage and develop Chamber staff.
Financial Management:
  • Develop and manage the Chamber budget.
  • Ensure the fiscal integrity of the organization.
  • Develop and secure sponsorships and funding for programs/events
Marketing:
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the Chamber and its membership.
  • Manage the Chamber of Commerce website and social media presence.
  • Develop and manage a consistent and innovative marketing mix, which includes but is not limited to print, web, digital, and social media.
  • Manage and communicate consistently on Chamber social media platforms.
  • Design and/or oversee the design of graphics using programs such as Canva, WordPress, etc.
Board Relations:
  • Work closely with the Board of Directors to develop and implement strategic plans.
  • Attend Board of Directors meetings, provide regular reports and updates to the Board, work closely with the Board Chair to prepare agendas and materials for monthly Board meetings.
Event Management:
  • Develop and manage Chamber programs and events such as, but not limited to: Women’s Forum, Golf Tournament, Summerfest, Holiday Stroll.
  • Coordinate vendors, volunteers, and promotional strategies for events/programs.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication, verbal, written, presentation, listening skills.
  • Public speaking ability.
  • 3+ years’ experience in marketing, communications, non-profit or event management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address challenges effectively.
  • Familiarity with Canva, WordPress, Constant Contact, Google Workspace.
  • Passion for collaboration and networking.
