    $50,000 annually ($24/hour based on 40 hours/week)

  • Commission Structure:
  • 10% commission on all new memberships and corporate partnerships
  • 5% commission on renewals of memberships and corporate partnerships
  • Paid Time Off:
  • Recognized holidays: New Year’s Day, MLK Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving (2 days), Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day
  • 7 personal days and 7 paid vacation days, renewed annually on the hire date anniversary

40 hours per week Position Summary The Deputy Director is responsible for supporting the Chair and Board of Directors in executing the strategic vision and day-to-day operations of the Chamber. This role plays a key leadership position in managing internal functions, developing community relationships, supporting board governance, and generating revenue through memberships and programs.

Key Responsibilities Operations Management:
  • Oversee daily operations of the Chamber, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities
  • Manage program logistics, membership administration, and marketing tasks
  • Maintain updated Chamber member lists for all committees and divisions
  • Coordinate appointments and schedules for the Chair and subcommittees
  • Assist in the preparation and completion of Cooperative Endeavor Agreements (CEAs)
Program Management:
  • Support the development and implementation of programs that advance the Chamber’s mission
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of initiatives and make recommendations for improvements
Board Support:
  • Collaborate with the Chair to prepare agendas and materials for Board and Executive Committee meetings
  • Support governance functions by facilitating smooth board operations and communication
  • Organize the Chamber’s Annual Retreat and other major events
  • Participate in securing higher-level memberships and sponsorships
  • Maintain regular communication with the Board, raising key issues as needed
Community Engagement & Outreach:
  • Represent the Chamber at public meetings and community events
  • Build and sustain relationships with business leaders, elected officials, and community stakeholders
  • Produce monthly newsletters and public communications
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for revenue generation through programs and events
Additional Duties:
  • Support marketing, fundraising, and advocacy initiatives
  • Assist in setting goals and objectives for the Chamber’s advancement
  • Serve as spokesperson and ambassador in coordination with the
Chairperson Qualifications & Skills:
  • Exceptional public speaking and presentation abilities
  • Strong writing, customer service, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent planning, time management, and event coordination abilities
  • Leadership and supervisory experience with the ability to delegate and monitor tasks
  • Skilled in fostering collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience with budget preparation and organizational performance analysis
  • Ability to perform cost-benefit analysis and project evaluation
  • Flexible availability including occasional overnight travel
  • High level of motivation and commitment to Chamber initiatives
