Job Description
Executive Director for The Foundation of Wayne Community College 4.1 4.1 out of 5 stars 3000 Wayne Memorial Dr, Goldsboro, NC 27534 Primary Purpose Provide strategic leadership and comprehensive management of the Wayne Community College Foundation, Inc. in alignment with the mission and goals of Wayne Community College. The Executive Director will oversee all aspects of Foundation operations, including fundraising, financial management, donor relations, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the educational services offered by the College. Position Duties Responsible for the operation and leadership of the Foundation office, including planning and implementing the Foundation’s annual fund drive and fundraising events. The Executive Director manages Foundation investments and disbursements to benefit students, faculty, and staff in accordance with established Bylaws and under the direction of the Foundation Board of Directors.
Key responsibilities include:
Serve as the primary liaison between the Foundation Board of Directors, college personnel, and community partners. Communicate clearly and consistently the Foundation’s mission, vision, and objectives. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with donors and prospective donors; acknowledge all gifts and ensure accurate recordkeeping. Prepare and deliver presentations on Foundation programs and initiatives. Attend Board of Trustees Finance Committee and regular Board meetings to report Foundation activity. Establish and manage an annual budget and strategic development plan for the Foundation. Assist the College President with all institutional development activities. Collaborate with the Director of Grants to secure funding and support special initiatives. Work closely with the Director of Financial Aid to coordinate scholarship activities. Uphold confidentiality and maintain discretion in all Foundation operations. Serve on college committees as appointed and perform related duties as assigned by the President. Position Requirements A bachelor’s degree is required, along with three to five years of experience in nonprofit work, fundraising, donor relations, or other relevant professional experience. The successful candidate must have strong communication skills, leadership ability, and experience in financial management and strategic planning. A proven ability to build relationships with donors and stakeholders is essential. Experience in higher education or community engagement is preferred. A valid North Carolina Driver’s License and a driving record that meets the requirements for insurability under WCC’s auto insurance policy are required. Supplemental Information Unofficial transcripts from all degree-granting, institutions must be electronically attached to your application or submitted to Human Resources before being considered for an interview. To be considered, all degrees must be awarded by a regionally accredited institution recognized by the United States Department of Education. Official transcripts for all coursework and degrees will be required within 30 days of hire .
Foreign Degrees:
Foreign degree evaluations must be attached in lieu of transcripts for degrees earned outside the United States. Transcripts from foreign institutions will not be considered alone.

Wayne Community College accepts foreign transcript evaluations only from The National Association of Credential Evaluation Services. •Prices for transcript evaluations vary from agency to agency, and payment is the applicant’s responsibility.
