Salary:

$65,000

Minimum Requirements:

BA/BS in Business, Administration and or Human Resource Management with Masters preferred. An ideal candidate will have experience in a diverse range of business management skills, including communication, decision-making, training, financial management, organization, leadership, strategic thinking, multi-tasking, relationship building, teamwork, risk management, and intercultural sensitivity. Must pass criminal background check.

Basic Function:

The Executive Director (ED) is charged with the responsibility of carrying out the purposes, policies and programs of the Child Advocacy Center of Anderson County Tennessee, Inc. as determined by the Board of Directors. The ED shall perform all the essential functions and other job duties of the position of Executive Director. The Executive Director shall be the chief operating officer of the CAC. The Executive Director is responsible for hiring and firing employees, leadership of the organization, financial management, bookkeeping and reporting, organization and community leadership, fundraising leadership, futures planning and reporting to and interfacing with the Board of Directors along with more specific job duties and requirements as may from time to time be assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO

Provide financial and other requested information to Board members prior to Board meetings, and to participate in Board meetings. Attend Board committee meetings as appropriate. Develop an annual funding plan in conjunction with the Board of Directors and secure sufficient funding to assure financial resources for all the center activities and manage the annual budgets and financial procedures for the center. Participate with the Board of Directors in long-range planning for the center. Initiate and/or assist with any fund-raising events approved by the Board of Directors. Provide research and information to the Board of Directors regarding policy decisions or committee activities. Provide staff support to the Board of Directors, and CPIT partners when appropriate. Assist the Board with the production of public relations materials, including brochures, fact sheets, and other informational material, to help educate the public about child sexual abuse and the center’s services. Maintain alignment with all National Children’s Alliance standards, with reapplication for accreditation as needed. Assist in the identification and development of new policies and protocol to meet or exceed accreditation standards for Board approval. Maintain connection with State Chapter (CACTN) and fellow East TN directors. This includes supporting the Connecting for Children’s Justice and Everyday Heroes United conferences with staff attendance. Arrange and plan training for staff as required for their positions, funding contracts, accreditation and best practices Oversee day-to-day operations and administration of the advocacy center. Hiring, firing, and supervising staff and volunteers. Develop grant applications for programs through research, identification and application to grantors and then implement grant funded projects and comply with grantor requirements, such as training, audits etc. Payment of invoices and QuickBooks documentation. Assure that the center is supplied with materials and equipment in good order and is a professional, safe, comfortable, non-threatening environment. Provide community education and outreach, through presentations to local civic, religious, and other community groups. As custodian of CAC records, ensure the maintenance of up-to-date client files and records, and respond to subpoenas for CAC records. Evaluate program effectiveness, including input from clients and other agencies using the center. Ensure the tracking of all Child Advocacy Center cases that enter the court system.
