Department Profile:

The role of Trust Operations Specialist Settlements/Income is a dynamic team-based role within Argent’s Operations Department. The Operations Department’s responsibilities cover activities that support the overall services provided to Argent’s clients. Some of the services supported by Operations include (but not limited to), account transfers, asset movement, client deposit and disbursement processing, fund accounting, mail processing, and reconciliation of client and DDA accounts. The Operations Department interacts daily with internal personnel and external institutions.

Job Summary :

The Settlements/Income Analyst is responsible for the daily income and interest settlements of stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and other income producing assets held at Argent’s global depositories.

Job Specifics:

Settlements/Income Review and post daily income and trade settlement transactions from Argent’s custodians. Identify and investigate discrepancies, variances, and exceptions in Depository Income reports, working closely with Argent’s custodian account representative to resolve outstanding issues. Review and post Corporate Actions on all asset types held at global depositories. Maintain accurate records, documentation, and audit trails of income and settlement activities, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and policies. Assist with routine audits, internal and external, to provide documentation on activities covered by the respective audit. Individual will also be expected to cross train on additional desks within the Settlements Team.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Must be detail oriented, with strong analytic, research and communication skills. Basic knowledge of financial securities markets and Investments preferred. Basic computer skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with minimum supervision.

Credentials and Experience:

College degree in business related field preferred. 2-3 years in the financial services industry Basic Accounting knowledge, including debits and credits. Equivalent combination of education and experience.
