As a Senior Continuous Improvement Deployment Manager, your role will be to identify, design, and implement digital improvements to our manufacturing plants that will allow for enhanced total performance around Safety, Quality, People Engagement, Delivery, and Productivity. You will work alongside our Businesses and Technology partners in the identification, design, and implementation of solutions across the Enterprise.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Manager will be responsible for creating and delivering digital manufacturing projects that support significant performance improvement at our plants across our Tyson’s Business Units – Poultry, Prepared Foods and Fresh Meats. S/He will work in collaboration of plant operations, Tyson’s Technology team and other Enterprise functions to build, synthesize and deploy approaches to specific digital use cases across the production plants. Specifically, this leader will: Jointly with our production/operations team unlock the full potential of process improvements by consequently combining digital-driven process, data and analytics to the improvement of specific operational KPIs Coordinate Digital Manufacturing projects and deliver in time, budget and quality through a project excellence approach Onboard, coach and guide plant TMs across their digitization initiatives – from the shopfloor team up to the plant leadership Create and maintain Tyson’s playbook to implementation of Digital Manufacturing projects Create and sustain deep and trustworthy relationships with your business partners as you also easily maneuver in a shopfloor environment as well as a boardroom setting Actively steer digital solution development through requirements gathering, acting as a conduit between Business Development methodologies; other Enterprise Programs and our plant operations based on your deep and broad Operations Management expertise
Requirements:
Required a 4-year degree in Engineer / Technology or equivalent 7+ Years of experience as a Leader in Digital Solutions applications for Manufacturing Experience with Continuous Improvement initiatives, in particular, Step Change Transformations, preferred Demonstrated experience in integrating and implementing Process and Technology solutions in Manufacturing environments Having operational/managerial experience in the Food Processing industry is preferred Recognized for one’s ability to ‘influence to impact’ and communicate in a multilevel, multicultural environment Data-Driven and Result oriented; strong problem solving and analytical skills. Deep knowledge of systems and technology-driven processes within area of responsibility Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills Highly self-motivated and directed. 50 – 80% Travel Expected.
Specific Skills:
Strong business acumen, lean and continuous improvement skills, process management background, strong computer skills in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Forms; SAP, Power BI, Redzone, and other Smart Factory applications. Experience with Learning Management Systems Experience developing and delivering Lean Manufacturing Content Experience facilitating groups in Problem Solving and Kaizen activities.
