NOTE:
This is a hybrid position. Qualified candidates must be able to commute 2 days per week to a Wolters Kluwer US-based office. General The Tax & Accounting (TAA) Sales Compensation team is part of the finance function supporting the sales organization. The Sales Compensation Analyst will play a leading role in the administration, processing, governance and reporting of sales compensation for the TAA NA business.
Duties will include:
leading the annual process to revise and update the Business Unit sales compensation plans, scheduling and running Xactly on a monthly cadence to calculate sales commissions, providing accurate and timely sales compensation reporting to segment sales leadership / sales representatives, providing accurate and timely sales compensation payments to the sales representatives, creating and maintaining quotas for the sales organization, analyzing existing compensation processes / systems to highlight targets for improvement, distribution of performance reports to the sales organizations, managing the adjustment / dispute process and working with the division sales managers and sales representatives on a daily basis to resolve any issues or questions not part of the adjustment / dispute process. They will be expected to make recommendations to improve the alignment of sales compensation plans to desired behaviors, improve efficiencies, enhance the sales representative / sales manager experience and execute on business unit objectives. They will also be required to develop strong relationships across multiple functional areas (Sales, Product Management, Marketing, Technology, HR, & Finance) within the business. Duties & Responsibilities Generate and review monthly compensation reports Calculate commissions for sales reps and sales managers Report commission payouts to payroll monthly & quarterly Review Sales activity and ensure they are captured in commission reports Build & distribute summary reports for the sales leadership team and the finance team Analyze and propose improvements to existing compensation processes to drive efficiency gains Perform analysis and model different commission scenarios Develop and write sales compensation plans for new plan year, new hires and changes Maintain and update the current compensation system as the current plans change Set up user accounts, annual quotas, plan components and other sales compensation related items in Xactly Daily interaction with sales to address questions related to compensation plans, commissions and Xactly Research and resolve all compensation related sales rep and management inquiries / disputes The ability to work cohesively with Sales, Technology, and Finance is necessary Audit and reconcile all sales and compensation data Participate in the development of an analytics framework to objectively assess compensation plan performance and efficacy Technical Understanding the flow of data between interdependent systems, understanding areas where different touch points can impact data affecting compensation and identifying issues that may arise throughout each step of the sales compensation admin process. Partner with the back office team to ensure they understand the impacts of any changes to data flow and / or representation on the sales compensation process Ability to become effective and efficient in performing research and reporting in
Salesforce and SAP Qualifications Education:
BS in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent preferred
Required Experience:
Minimum 2+ years of experience in data analysis, financial analysis, sales compensation administration, sales operations, and/or other applicable work experience. Strong analytical, math, and logic skills, related to interpreting and manipulating data sets Must have outstanding knowledge of MS Office applications, particularly Excel. Strong customer service skills, ability to handle disputes with empathy and patience Preferred Experience SQL coding experience Sales Performance Management (SPM) system experience (preferably Xactly) Sales compensation experience Experience with data visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau, etc)
Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:
Preferred experience in B2B SaaS organization with excellent analytical skills, strong attention to detail and ability to multitask. Having a curious nature, a love of building and improving systems and processes, problem solving and working with data are key. Strong written and verbal communications skills.
